K.M. Weiland has a fantastic post on her writing blog showcasing a manifesto she’s created for writers. The manifesto is both pleasing to the eye and worthy of being printed and tacked to a nearby wall of some kind. Take a look.
…the only thing I’d add is the suggestion that you also take her post as an example. Her manifesto is certainly usable, but I feel that writing being the individual, lonely occupation that it can be merits individualized manifestos. What are your absolute inviable principles as a writer? What do you need to remind yourself of on a daily basis? What do you need to work towards? It’s certainly got me thinking and wondering what my manifesto would be and it’s a valuable exercise.
